B-hyve Mobile App

The B-hyve app is a smart sprinkler application that lets users manage their irrigation system anytime, anywhere from their phone or tablet. When Orbit added a flood sensor to the mix, the challenge was to integrate it into the app without messing up the smooth experience users already loved.

Objective

The goal was to add the flood sensor with its own onboarding process—separate from the irrigation features—while keeping everything easy to navigate. We focused on creating a simple, intuitive flow by designing a new dashboard and settings using wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes that blended familiar UI elements with new ones for the flood sensor.

Design & Testing

We used Figma to create the wireframes and clickable prototypes, making it easy to test and tweak along the way. User testing at key points helped refine the onboarding process, improve the dashboard layout, and ensure the new features were straightforward. The feedback was essential in optimizing the experience for both new and returning users.
