Crisis Job & Alerts
With the onset of COVID, there was a surge in demand for health care professionals to take assignments in heavily affected areas. In response, we quickly acted to ensure that these jobs could be easily found and promptly filled. To accomplish this, we added a new feature allowing users to filter by Crisis Jobs. In addition, we implemented job alerts to ensure that travelers never missed out on opportunities that matched their professional qualifications. These alerts are simple to set up, requiring only the selection of one’s profession and desired frequency of updates.

Displaying Pay
After noticing a discussion among healthcare travelers about their preferred job search websites, we delved deeper to discover that many did not use the job searches provided by the agencies they traveled for, but instead agencies that had search features in which they preferred. It became evident that the primary request among travelers was to view pay information without having to create an account, a feature not yet offered by Triage.
In order to address this issue, we conducted a thorough competitor analysis and continued gathering feedback from travelers through online group discussions, as well as consulting with our own healthcare travelers about their top priorities when seeking assignments. With this information, we gained confidence that offering pay information upfront would increase traffic to our job search and generate more leads.
I began by creating wireframes and mockups to show how pay would be displayed within our existing job search and details. After gaining stakeholder approval of the mockups, we worked with our vendor to execute our plans.
Location and Advanced Filters
As part of the efforts to improve the user experience within the job search, we have been conducting surveys with current travelers to determine what they prioritize when it comes to taking a travel assignment. The top two key factors are pay and location. To further enhance the location search capabilities, new options for location are being considered beyond the ability to select multiple states. These include the ability to search by State, City, and Region, as well as expand the search radius for city.
We also found in our surveys that healthcare professionals do have a preference for facility type. To continue to ensure that users can find exactly what they want in a travel assignment we are also introducing advanced filters that can continue to be expanded on as more data is available from the job feed.
Location and advanced filters is a current effort that is still in progress alongside the Triage website re-design.
